Role Summary:

The Community Porter is a member of the Kiln Community Team and is responsible for the cleanliness of the physical Kiln space.

Goals and Objectives

• Ensure site cleanliness so that members have an unparalleled experience
• Personify Kiln’s core values and strive to achieve our mission
• Work cooperatively with Kiln team members
• Report and help resolve operational issues in a timely, urgent manner

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning routine as assigned by the Regional Director
• tasks include trash removal, cleaning kitchens / bathrooms / common areas / meeting spaces / restocking bathrooms/offices, etc.
• Sweep and mop floors each shift
• Maintain safety in the building by placing signs when necessary for wet floors, etc.
• Respond quickly to ad-hoc janitorial needs as they arise
• Help order cleaning supplies and maintain inventory
• Interact in a courteous and professional manner with all Kiln members
• Follow updated North County cleaning requirements drafted and posted in each Kiln location

Requirements

• Legal eligibility to work in the United States
• Able to work a flexible schedule and rotate between locations as necessary

• Prior janitorial experience preferred, not required
• Ability to communicate effectively with all Kiln members and staff.
• Demonstrates integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, follow-through, and empathy
• Passion and understanding for Kiln’s mission and values
